The 2014 Education Day will be designed exclusively to serve as a platform to inform the community about educational opportunities. This event is designed to provide families and community members with specific services related to ensuring that all school-age children are enrolled in school and their parents/guardians and the community at-large are provided with a wide-range of services.
On-site services:

The Parent Promise Campaign Letter of Parent Support (obtain 30,000 parent signatures demonstrating that they are committed to ensuring their child attend school regularly and work in partnership with teachers and school leaders to support the learning environment)

We will provide health screenings for our Head Start SDP and Head Start Partner families. It is mandated that every child that enters the Head Start program have their screening within a specified time frame.

We will provide on-site Student Registration for students who wish to attend their neighborhood school. Parents can come prepared with the necessary registration documents in order to be registered.

On-site capabilities provided by Septa to found the best bus route for child who travels to school on public transportation.

Family and Community Engagement ai??i??School Advisory Councils and other Parent Volunteer Opportunities for Parents, families and community members will have the opportunity to sign-in up to be part of School Advisory Councils and other parent volunteer opportunities.
-Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai?? School Safety
Parents, families and community members will have the opportunity to learn safety strategies on how to keep children safe during the school-year and ways in which parents and community members can volunteer to help keep children safe during the school year.
