RECAP: Faith and Family Night with the Philadelphia Soul and Beckah Shae

(April 20, 2012) It was an awesome night for fun and praise at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Friday night’s first Faith and Family night included football, marching bands, music and an inspirational message for adults and kids of all ages. Arena football bowl Champions (2008) played an amazing fast paced game for a crowd of screaming fans. (I have to say, for my first arena game, these fans were just as rowdy and fun as any other professional team game I’ve been to! It was great!)

During half-time. team Chaplain, Pastor Steve Hare (Faith City Family Church, Newark, DE) took the field to announce the free concert following the game featuring music by Beckah Shae.  The Chaney University Marching Band also performed on the field.  By games end, the Philadelphia Soul beat the Tampa Bay Storm by a whopping 83-48 and looked like they are well on their way to another Arena Bowl this year!

Following the performance, team players stayed on the field to sign autographs while the band set-up for the live music concert. Pastor Steve Hare opened up and brought out Wilmington, DE’s Dream Kidz dance group to join him on the turf. PAstor Hare invited Philadelphia Storm wide receiver, Tiger Jones, to the field, who gave an inspirational message to the youth in the crowd.  Beckah Shae followed with some of her fan favorites, “Put Your Love Glasses On,” and “Life,” to a crowd standing and waving their hands along! Well in to the night (almost midnight), kids were still wide awake enjoying the sounds of Christian praise and worship in the heart of the Philly sports arena.

Look out for more events from the Philadelphia Soul, Beckah Shae, Steve Hare and Reach Radio soon!
