On August 4th, I got a chance to go to the Back 2 Skool Concert at World Cafe Live! It was an awesome night of praise & worship and FUN! CHECK OUT THE PICS BELOW!
Visiting from Baltimore, MD, Jonathan Ball & True Destiny kicked us off with “You’re God” & “I Need Thee.” Their harmonies were perfect! Next up, the Renewed Disciples, from New Jersey, completely flipped the vibe with thier song “Bang Bang”- an infectious hip hop song but with positive lyrics that every age in the room could listen too! CoCampbell kept the hip-hop feel going with is single “Statistic” leading into a free-styled breakdown.
Philadelphia’s Prayz1 & the Underdogs did their hit “Came to Far,” “Number 1,” and “Church Fan” (which got everyone to the stage and on their feet in fun and praise! Prayz1 ended his power filled set with the song “Stronger” into a worship medley that set the tome for the rest of the evening.
Event host and singer/songwriter, Thomas Clay, did a few of his newest songs, “I came to party,” “Night Air,” and “War Song,” but the night ended with everyone in the entire area singing together in worship to “You are Holy”. Long after Thomas and the band left the stage, the crowd was still there in worship together! Awesome!
I encourage everyone in the Wilmington/Philly area to check out the monthly Gospel Nights the now have at the World Cafe Live! The 1st Monday of each month! Nice!
