Event Recap: ‘The Sound of Victory’ Maurette Brown Clark Release Concert

Maurette Brown Clark delivered a CD release concert full of passion and energy at Bethel AME Church on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. The Princess of Praise and Worshipa��s new CD The Sound of Victory is full of new songs that will excite longtime fans and win many new fans along the way. The Stellar Award-winning singer kept the at-capacity crowd on their feet throughout most of her high-energy performance.

Brandon Camphor and One Way opened the concert and got the crowd moving and pointing heavenward on a�?One Way.a�? Anthony Brown and Group Therapy took the crowd into worship with a�?The Harvest Song.”
Her pastor, Rev. Frank M. Reid III introduced Brown Clark and spoke of the singera��s character and integrity. Brown Clark walked onto the stage and erupted into an energetic and explosive rendition of a�?Breaking of Day.a�? This was just a glimpse of things to come as she ushered in a full-on praise and worship experience. Her rich and expressive vocals delivered on songs that included, a�?Hea��s Ablea�? and a�?Dona��t Be Discouraged.a�?

The concert concluded with Brown Clark singing her Billboard hit and lead single, a�?I Hear the Sound (of Victory).a�? A�She brought singer Brittany Wright onto the stage for a rousing encore.
In addition to Wright, several artists came out to support Brown Clark. Spotted in the audience were Jawn Murray, Charles Butler, John McClure and Rhonda Burnett-Chapman, her fellow Vision member.
